The Kenwood Excelon KVT-915DVD, is a complete in-dash DVD-Audio/Video Entertainment System featuring a motorized, self-retracting, high-resolution LCD video touch screen. This top-of-the-line Kenwood Excelon DVD receiver plays DVD Audio, DVD Video, CD and MP3 discs, provides TV, AM, and FM stereo reception, and is both Sirius Satellite Radio and HD Radio ready. It offers a 50-watt x 4 channel amplifier for Left/Right/Left Surround/Right Surround speakers, and a 35-watt amplifier for a surround sound or DVD-Audio center channel speaker. The size of conventional in-dash receivers, the KVT-915DVD, including its 7-inch (diagonal) video screen, is housed in a single DIN chassis -- plus a hide-away box -- and can be installed in virtually any vehicle. The KVT-915DVD's color video screen is 1/2-inch larger than earlier motorized models, and to improve viewing angles, both the screen and chassis position can be adjusted -- the screen tilts to seven positions and the chassis can be moved forward or back. Other new features include compatibility with ultra high-resolution DVD-Audio discs, built-in decoding for Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound, and compatibility with the Kenwood Music Keg, Sirius Satellite Radio, and HD Radio. New cosmetics provide an enhanced, updated look when the receiver is in open (screen extended) or closed (screen retracted) position. The lower portion of the faceplate can be detached for security. As with all Kenwood mobile DVD players, the KVT-915DVD plays conventional CD music discs as well as CD-R and CD-R/W discs, and it will play MP3 files from CD-R and R/W discs.
